Forgive/Forgiveness part 2

Forgiveness-The intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, let’s go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well.

Victim- One, that is acted on, and usually adversely affected by a force or agent.
A person who is tricked or duped
Synonyms-sufferer, casualty, loser, prey, stooge, dupe, sucker, quarry, fool, fall guy, chump.

Let me interpret the above statements through a lens and life clearly opposite the words above. The statements above appear to contain many assumptions about human behavior. A person’s feelings and attitudes do not matter in our litigious society. Not all persons that offer forgiveness is a victim. Victim acceptance places a person in a position of authorizing the mistreatment received. A person both or either consciously/subconsciously allows the mistreatment to take place. There are choices in any situation anytime to stop or avoid the mistreatment. How and why is it defined as victim hood if one seeks forgiveness?

If victim hood is an acceptable condition; institutions, systems, laws, polices, religion, along with those in positions of power should be in constant state of seeking forgiveness. Such is they are in the constant state of victimizing consciously and subconsciously others. This is a prime example of White Supremacy, privilege, and discrimination.

Without interpretation buying in to the loathe definitions at the top of the page: I was a victim from age 4 to age 17. I was the victim of the legal system, government policies, religious bigotry, abuse, bullying, harassment, discrimination, educational malfeasance, cultural ignorance, medical providers limitations, societies need to have “the other.”

After 17 when I took my humanity and released the condition, no longer was I a victim.
